Investment Committee

Lukasz Urban holds an MBA from IESE Business School, Master of Science from Yale University (Biology) and Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College. He also studied at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (University of London).

Mr Urban is currently Managing Director at Biocorp Polska, a technology company, manufacturer of microbiology diagnostics.
Previously (2006-2009), he was Vice President and CFO at PZU Asset Management in Warsaw, where he was responsible for non-public markets, portfolio accounting, and new product development. He raised internally 300 million PLN, and executed the organization of the PZU Property Fund, as well as authored the program for building a portfolio of real estate funds as new product line for the PZU Group (3rd party management). He also initiated the work to build the private equity program for the PZU Group as institutional investor. Acted as Chairman of the Property Market Investment Committee, Member of the Credit Committee and Investment Committee. Earlier, he worked in London as advisor with the European buyout team at 3i Investments Plc. He also has several years of consulting experience in the TMT and financial sector.

Mr Urban was Adjudicator at the National Depository for Securities. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi. He is a director at the Koprowski Foundation. He is fluent in Polish, English and Spanish.
